Catty Corporation is Hiring a Slitter Operator - 2nd Shift Near Harvard, IL

Summary:

Responsible and accountable for the overall quality and quantity of the slitting run including the proper documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

· Slit master roll material to customer specified dimensions as noted on Manufacturing Order

· Setup master roll for run.

· Review SharePoint briefing notes before starting run and make adjustments if needed.

· Ensure run meets Quality Assurance standards.

· Perform splices according to specifications

· Complete computer Web Map documentation for each Master Roll according to Quality Assurance requirements.

· Update Radius ERP with master roll used

· Update SharePoint with operator notes on the run in order to explain the data

· Cut cores and ensure proper packaging materials for skidding

· Properly label and pack finished product

· Track and record all scrap

· Complete all generated rewinds

· Responsible for troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on equipment on a daily and weekly basis.

· Cutting as necessary or needed

· Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience

High School education needed.

Language Skills

Ability to clearly and effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and peers, in English, over telephone and in writing.

Computer Skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Radius a plus.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and see. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee will occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds. Specific visions abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
